If you live in the Ryde/Eastwood area, you are incredibly lucky that the best banh mi in Sydney fall within a short radius of each other.
Our top recommendations:
Top Ryde Bakers House (Top Ryde Shopping Centre – next to Woolworths)
All these people you see in the queue lining up everyday at Top Ryde Shopping Centre can’t be all wrong! Run by a bunch of friendly aunties in an extended family, their crispy pork roll is to die for!
Lim’s Hot Bread (Eastwood Village, Progress Ave)
This place is an institution in Eastwood and surrounds. Baking daily, the Lims (Yen, Hay, Brandon and Julianne) have been serving locals their daily bread since 1994. Many Prime Ministers have visited this place when they make a trip to Eastwood. Open 7 days a week all year around, except for a short break after Christmas when they leave a delightful note at their roller door about their holiday plans.
